Johanna Voorman
Johanna Voorman was born on January 4, 1824, as the daughter of a horse trainer. Upon her birth, she was gifted a small newborn horse named Rosa. Her parents wanted to train Rosa so that Johanna could ride her when was old enough.
Johanna grew up around horses and always aspired to become a trainer herself. She was homeschooled by her parents, who equipped her with all the necessary knowledge and skills. Johanna was an eager learner and quickly gained expertise in training and breeding horses, surpassing her parents' knowledge. At the age of 18, she began giving lectures on the subject, where she met Sjoerd Walda, whose parents also owned a horse farm specializing in breeding. Their mutual interest brought them together and they eventually fell in love.
Sjoerd Walda and Johanna Voorman tied the knot on May 24, 1845, at the Walden estate. Following their wedding, Johanna moved in with Sjoerd, bringing three of her horses with her. The couple then decided to focus on breeding and training high-quality horses and their business began to flourish.
Claire Walda was born on August 11, 1853 on Grennsted farm, as the daughter of Johanna and Sjoerd Walda. Upon Claire's birth, they gifted her a young horse named Polly.
Johanna has a small, round face with big, blue eyes, brown, curly hair, and dark, arched eyebrows. She is generally reserved and serious but can unexpectedly come up with a joke. Johanna takes good care of her appearance and is known for her progressive fashion style.
Family
The Walda family is a prominent and wealthy family residing in Vöhren. They are the proud owners of the Walden estate, which encompasses a large and functional farm named Grennsted. The primary focus of this farm is breeding, keeping, and training horses. Although the family's roots can be traced back to Norway and other Nordic countries, they have been living in the area for several decades now.
