Antonius Lutz
Antonius Lutz was born on February 11, 1789, on the Lutz estate in Vöhren. He was the first child and the heir to the family estate, which was then flourishing.
Antonius learned the skills of farming and estate management from his father and grandfather when he was very young. Unfortunately, his father passed away before he could complete his training, leaving the estate in his hands when he was only 15 years old. Until he came of age, his mother took charge of the estate's management.
At the age of 18, Antonius assumed full control of the estate and quickly noticed that things were not going as smoothly as he had been led to believe. Demand for their products had dwindled, and there were outstanding payments that needed to be settled. Additionally, the farm was grappling with a disappointing harvest, and tests revealed that the soil quality was rapidly decreasing due to decades of farming. While Antonius was inexperienced, he persevered and managed to keep the farm operational. His community in Lutheria provided significant support during the difficult times, and Antonius repaid their kindness by participating in various charitable endeavours. It was through his charitable work that he met Josephina Vos, the woman he fell in love with.
Antonius and Josephina got married on October 18, 1810, at St. Mary's Chapel after a brief courtship. Their wedding was attended by Josephina's and Antonius' parents, friends, colleagues, and business partners. After the wedding, Josephina moved into Lutz Farm with Antonius, but she continued to work at her shop in Lutheria actively.
Following Antonius and Josephina's wedding, Lutz farm encountered significant challenges. The demand for their products decreased, the harvest was underwhelming, and an epidemic ravaged their livestock. Despite these setbacks, Josephina was able to rescue the estate by utilizing the earnings from her store and trusted business partners. However, it resulted in a small debt, making it even harder for the estate to survive. Besides this, there was no heir to the estate and Josephina had trouble conceiving. It took over ten years before she became pregnant.
Bernardus Theodorus Lutz, known as Bernd or Bernard, was born on February 8, 1822, as the first child of Antonius Lutz and Josephina Lutz-Vos at Lutz Farm in Vöhren. Josephina and Antonius had been trying to conceive for a long time and were overjoyed when Bernardus was finally born. This was not only a blessing for the family but also meant that they had an heir to the estate.
Lisa Lutz was born on May 5, 1828, on the Lutz estate in Vöhren. Her older brother Bernardus, who was 6 at the time, was also present at her birth.
Lisa Lutz and Frederik Keller got married on May 24th, 1845 at St. Mary's Chapel after a long courtship. Lisa's parents, her brother, and Frederik's extensive family were all in attendance at the wedding. After the wedding, Lisa moved to the Tenvenn estate to live with Frederik and assist in managing the estate with him and his parents.
Bernardus and Helena tied the knot on July 1st, 1851, about a year after welcoming their first child. The wedding ceremony took place at St. Mary's Chapel in Lutheria, with guests including Bernardus' parents, Josephina and Antonius Lutz, as well as colleagues and friends. Following the wedding, Helena relocated to Lutz farm to live with Bernardus, and she took on farming duties while also working part-time as a nurse at the local hospital in Lutheria.
However, during their first year of marriage, Helena discovered that Bernardus had a tough and at times aggressive side, which she believed stemmed from his fear of losing the farm and the constant struggle to survive. But despite Bernardus' occasional petulant behavior, their love for each other remained strong. Helena's nurturing and empathetic personality enabled her to calm Bernardus down during difficult moments.
Antonius Lutz takes after his father in looks, sporting dark brown hair, that is turning grey, hazel-brown eyes, and a tanned complexion. He shares his father's height of 187cm and weighs around 110kg, which gives him a sturdy and impressive build. Although the hardships of farm life have left their mark on his face, his eyes still hold a spark of excitement and determination.
Family
The Lutz family is a group of farmers who predominantly reside in the Vöhren district. The majority of family members either currently live or have previously lived on the Lutz estate, a small farmhouse where cattle and crops are bred. This property has been owned by the family for generations, with the eldest child inheriting it. Most family members tend to work until old age and stay on the estate until they pass away. Many farmers in the area struggle to earn a living, yet they work hard to keep their farms running out of pride and respect for their old traditions, even if it means personal loss.
